Despite all our hopes and prayers, Marvin Polan passed away this
afternoon.  He had undergone a liver transplant at UCLA yesterday.
He returned to surgery today to correct post-transplant complications
but did not survive.

Marvin was a long-time member of both MBSI and AMICA and was a true
mechanical music enthusiast.  He served as MBSI Audio-Visual chairman
for many years.  We will miss him and our heart goes out to his wife,
Dianne, and their children, Walter and Michael.
