Baldwin Vacuum Supply Hose
By Don Barton

Over the years I, as probably many of you, have had a difficult
time finding 1-3/4" replacement hose and elbows for the Baldwin
bottom bellows supply connection. That is until several years ago
I was in an auto parts supply store that specialized in vintage
Ford parts.

On a rack were some 90-degree molded 1-3/4" radiator hoses.
I purchased one and cut it to the proper length -- problem solved!
The part is an upper radiator hose for '39 to '41 Fords, part no.
91A8760, $22. I purchased mine at Little Dearborn Parts. Inc.,
2424 University Ave S.E., Minneapolis, MN 55414 tel. 1-612-331-2066.

After almost 40 years in the business of restoring automatic musical
instruments, the Baldwin has turned out to be one of my favorite player
systems. The unit is simple in design and light weight. The valves
are easily accessible and when properly rebuilt are a tight and
responsive system. I rebuilt four in '09 and each one turned out
great. Just one man's opinion.
