I too was sorry to hear of Denis McMenamy's passing.  In July 2000,
I spent a few days staying with my friend Keith Kopp who arranged
for us to pay a visit to Denis's collection.  Denis was actually
suffering from a very heavy cold but still welcomed us.  He
demonstrated the photoplayer with a silent movie which we enjoyed.

The music room was great but what really grabbed my attention was
the upright Ampico.  Denis remarked, "We should check this guy's
pockets before he leaves!".  Seven years later, I finally got my
own Ampico.  I will never forget that wonderful evening with Denis.
