Hello All,  In about 1962, while a junior in high school in Gering,
Nebraska, I purchased a Wilcox & White "Symphony" player reed organ,
along with a collection of about 100 rolls from a collector in the
Chicago area.  About 1982, after enjoying the unit for all those years,
I sold it to a collector who lived somewhere in the Western Nebraska
area, but his name and location escapes me.

Can anyone shed any light on where this instrument might be located
today?  I also wonder how may of these larger organs were made and how
many still survive?  I would think that they are somewhat rare.

The one I owned was a tall unit, mahogany, with griffin style legs,
and much fretwork on the upper part of the case.  I found a date on the
inside of the case in pencil of 1897.  I have photos of the one I had
if anyone would like to see them.
