Pliobond as a Sealant
By Grant Chapman, NY

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Pliobond is
nitrile rubber, a phenolic resin and MEK as a minimum (although there
is also a PVC variant of the product). I believe it is also listed
as a carcinogen and requires a respirator.

 [ At https://www2.itap.purdue.edu/msds/docs/1916.pdf is a Material
[ Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for Pliobond 20 adhesive which lists
[ these chemicals: methyl ethyl ketone, nitrile rubber, alkylphenolic
[ resin, calcium carbonate and formaldehyde. The document notes that
[ formaldehyde is "listed as a carcinogen" and says there should be
[ adequate ventilation during use. I didn't see respirator mentioned.
