Wood Species Identification

I have no documentation, but what Dave Krall describes sounds a bit
like poplar.  If you need to make a new part, that is probably the most
stable wood you can readily purchase today.

This is all, of course, IMHO!  I'm certain others will have their IMHO,
and this might be interesting reading!
