Please read the Addendum below quoted from Craig Smith's post on this
subject in the 100805 MMD:

"[Later] Addendum -- Based on the pictures you sent me, I can see that
the design of your Stella box does _not_ incorporate a wrap spring
clutch like the Mira.  However, I have forwarded the pictures of the
Mira clutch to Robbie so he can add them to the archives in case
someone else can use the information."

It is certainly possible that very late production Stella 17-inch disc
boxes utilized the wrap spring locking method as used in the Mira
boxes.  But I believe the majority of Stellas, including mine and I
presume the one in question, use the earlier planetary gear design as I
described in my postings on the subject.

In any case, I'm hoping that Dan Jackson, the original requestor, will
find our postings useful in his efforts to get his Stella functional.
