Player Piano Company - One Year Later
By Joyce Brite

I disagree. The sign has been up there for over fifty years and it's
part of the history of the building. I was very relieved to see it
was still there. It's an easy way to identify the building to others.

If you only state the address as 704 East Douglas, people who "drag
Douglas" may not know what location you're talking about. But if you
say, "It's the old Player Piano Company building" then they know
immediately where it is.

If the sign belongs in someone's collection, then the question is
"Whose collection?" Who gets this grand prize of artifacts?
