Thanks for the comments on this sad state of affairs.  It seems as
though, in the well-intentioned desire to preserve the carousel from
the natural environment at Tilden Park -- that of wind, fog, rain and
generally cold temperatures -- the music has been sacrificed.

This does not in any way absolve the East Bay Regional Park District
of its duty to provide _some_ music, in a fashion that is respectful
of the history of the ride.  The conclusion one is left with at the
present time is that basically no one gives a flying fanny-pack about
the music.  Except us, of course.  :-)

Meanwhile, what's the consensus on the best CD available for this
purpose?
