FS: Rythmodik & QRS Solo-Elle Piano Rolls
By Erik York

Greetings to all, I'm looking to sell a few rare Solo-Elle rolls.
I was told that Solo-Elle pianos and the rolls they use are very
uncommon. Does anyone have one? I've found out with some research
that the player mechanism was an early attempt at expression,
which operated a divided hammer rest rail from the roll's coding.
The perceived benefit I think being that eight separate divisions in
the rail could emphasize individual notes and passages in the music
more precisely.

All rolls are in excellent playing condition in original boxes.
Titles and info as follows:

* Rythmodik Solo-elle X2013 - "All Aboard for Home Sweet Home"
  played by Victor Arden

* Rythmodik Solo-elle - "Dance Orientale"
  played by composer Harriette Cady

* QRS Hand Played Solo-elle C-78 - "My Own United States"
  played by Lee S. Roberts

I'd like them to go to someone with a player that could actually use
them. (The extra coding perfs make for a terrible racket on my 88-note
player! <lol>) All of the performances are rather good in my opinion,
but would probably sound even better on the correct instrument. If
anyone is interested please contact me, thanks.

On a side note, I'd enjoy hearing a restored Solo-elle player to learn
how well (or how poor) the design worked. Does anyone have a recording?
