Hello MMD.  The catalog for the special auction sale by Auction Team
Breker, to be held on the 20th November, is now available.  It's going
to be a very good sale with some notable items.  I have picked some of
my favorites, particularly lot 552, a wonderful short bedplate Regina
in a floor standing decorated cabinet with disc storage drawers and
estimate of only 8000 to 12000 euros.

In about 1974 I went to Southport in Lancashire, UK, to view a most
unusual floor standing gramophone.  Fashioned as a standard floor lamp,
complete with large shade, the sound came from the wind-up mechanism
concealed in the base and travelled up to the top and out of the lamp
shade.  In all these years I have never seen another one, 'til now.
It is auction lot 514 and has an estimate of 1500 to 2500 euros.
