If I recall this subject was discussed about 18 months ago, however
now it has turned full circle.

I have two 88-note rolls that have a short length of twine which
is secured to metal protrusion on the end of the tab.  The twine is
then wrapped around the roll and given a few turns around the metal
protrusion and the paper is secured.  How many of you have seen these?

This does not alleviate the present problem, as a special end tab has
to be made for the others.

On the previous discussion I mentioned that I use 'braided-elastic'
which is 57% polyester and 43% rubber, 1/2-inch wide and secured with
staples.  You have to have some device to keep the paper secure on
10-tune style "O" and "A" rolls and other large diameter rolls, whereby
you have to remove the flanges when changing rolls.  When they are in
their boxes it is a 'must' to have the paper secure as they are
flangeless.

There appears to have been no discussion on large diameter rolls, maybe
someone can 'throw more light' in this area.
