Nisco Museum of Mechanical Music in Israel
By Eliyahu Shahar

Hi again, In regards to Nisan Cohen's museum, I went there again
yesterday to see what was wrong with his Ampico. It would rewind
slightly, but stopped when put into play mode. Thinking that it
could be something easy like the roll motor, I went and turned it on.

In play mode, I saw that all the notes were playing, so -- on the
positive side -- it appears that the pneumatics are still sealing
pretty well. On the negative side, my first guess is that all the
valves have gone kaput. I'm returning next week and will remove the
primary and secondary valves and take them home to see what I can see
there.

Regards,
Eli Shahar
