Piano Roll Hand Cut by Ed Grigsby
By Joe Taylor

I have recently acquired, in a lot of 88-note rolls, the following
unusual roll with this typed label:

BODY AND SOUL by Johnny Green
Transcribed for Two Pianos -- Four Hands by Gregory Stone
Recorded for Player Piano by Ed Grigsby

It is a hand cut roll with some expression holes and both right and
left with many hand written notations in the right margin made with
pencil. The paper is a two-toned brown stripped paper like an old
shopping bag. It does not appear to be machine cut. It plays well
on my regular Aeolian. The label is typed on plain paper and glued
to the roll. The song was published in 1930.

Does anyone know anything about this roll or have any interest in it?
Should it be in a collection somewhere?

Joe Taylor
