Seek Freins for Wilhelm Bruder Soehne Pipes
By Jim Marke

Referring to Jeff Bridges seeking harmonic freins for his Wurlitzer
band organ. I am very interested in finding new freins for the
violin pipes in my unrestored 46-key Wilhelm Bruder Söhne organ.
My thoughts were to identify the proper brass metal and have them
laser cut or water cut on a numerical controlled machine. Haven't
followed up on it yet, though.

Is there any existing source? The old freins are extremely brittle
and cannot be used; a second rank of violins will be made and freins
sought. If there is enough demand for new freins and no existing
source found I am prepared to investigate further with the intention
of making them available to interested parties.

By the way thanks for the 'VLC Media Player' tip. This web site
helps greatly to unravel the 'mystery' of the .mpga file extension.
Find this directly or by searching on ".mpga" --
