I first heard this song when it was played by the great Max Morath at
the Imperial Theatre Melodrama in Cripple Creek, Colorado, in the mid
1950s.  This was before Max was discovered and hit the national scene
(rather to my regret since it took him away from Cripple creek -- a
favorite place of mine).  I have never heard the song on a player piano
and I look forward to that treat.  It is a great little song.  I hope
to get it for my player.
