Help with Newer Player Mechanism

Hello Rick and group,  I wish I did know the model number, but it's
lost with time.  I do recall ordering it by the dimensions, however.
I'm sorry I cannot be of much more help.  .

Regarding Bryan Cather's comments [110214 MMDigest] about the shoddy
production, I agree.  The materials the piano was built from were good
quality (the player is another matter).  In most examples of the modern
Aeolian pianos the striking point is off.  Resetting it will make a
huge difference in how the piano sounds.

Another problem is too much down bearing on the bass strings, again due
to careless construction.  The sound board area is small to start with
and the "clamping" action of the bass strings kills the tone.  Use a
cardboard punching under each hitch pin in the bass.  This will also
make a big difference.

I retrofitted one of these with an aluminum Universal stack.  The
difference was quite surprising.
