Tuning the Edgerton KT Special
By Nicholas Newble

Given that original Seeburgs would appear to have A=435 tuning
to the xylophone, does this necessarily mean that the piano would
also have had the same tuning applied?

The reason I ask is that in the Edgerton Repro Seeburg KT Special
Handbook, it states that the piano is tuned to A=440. I wonder
whether the xylophone is also A=440, or the more authentic A=435,
in the Edgerton Special, and would it matter or be very noticeable
if it was different?

From the 'Woodwind Forum': "Many "A=435" instruments play very well
alongside "A=440" instruments."

Regards,
Nicholas Newble
