Marshall & Wendell Player Piano Parts Found
By Larry Schuette

Several weeks ago [110127 MMDigest], I issued a plea for assistance
in finding a player stack and pump section for a customer who said it
would "mean the world" to his mother if I could make her 1923 Marshall
& Wendell gutted upright player piano, play again.

I received offers from four MMD readers to try to help -- Don Bryant,
Stephen Grattan, John Rutoskey, and Nathan Woodhull -- and I would like
to thank them for their kind offers.

I was able to locate a 1926 Marshall & Wendell player piano in Lima,
Ohio, owned by Nathan (Skip) Woodhull, that matched my customer's piano
exactly, and the parts are now being restored in Nebraska. Sometimes
dreams do come true!
