A. L. Crescio, Band Organ Repairman
By Jim Quashnock

I have finally gotten to pulling the main chest apart on the
Wurlitzer 105 band organ I'm rebuilding. On the bottom board of
the chest I found the following:

  A.L. Crescio
  Leavenworth, Kansas
  April 1937
at St. Louis MO. for Mr. Sautero

Do the names Crescio or Sautero ring a bell with anyone? Seems
strange that the instrument, built in 1928 and serviced by Wurlitzer
in 1931, needed repair to the pallets in 1937.

[ Could the customer's name be Sauter?
[ Gordon Forcier wrote about A. L. Crescio in 110321 MMDigest.
[ An advert in The Billboard, Apr 10, 1943, page 39, says:

 [ Band Organs Repaired
 [ A.L. (Tony) Crescio
 [ P.O. Box 231, Leavenworth, Kans.
