Mechanical Music Activities in Australia
By John Wolff

There are two active mechanical music societies in Australia, and
several significant private collections.

 - Sydney has the Australian Collectors of Mechanical Musical
Instruments (ACMMI), web site http://www.zipworld.com.au/~job

 - In Melbourne is the Mechanical Music Society of Australia
(MMSA), web site http://www.vicnet.net.au/~mmsa

Both groups have about 50 members, and hold regular bi-monthly
meetings. Members of both societies are generally well known to each
other, and are separated only by distance. A national convention is
held every two or three years. The most recent was held in Melbourne
in April this year, with visitors from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and
Hobart.

You're welcome to contact either of the societies via the links on
their web pages.
