MIDI File Player Program for iPod
By Waldemar Raad

Re: Kip Williams' question in the 110724 MMD

At this moment there are two iPod/iPad/iPhone interfaces for
playing MIDI files directly to a MIDI device such as a MIDI-player
piano (PianoDisc, Disklavier, QRS, etc.): Line6 MIDI Mobilizer (Line6)
and IRig MIDI (IK Multimedia).

We now need an app that gives access to our MIDI files and by which we
can store our MIDI files on the device, like the iPod music player app
and iTunes. It should have an option to store a minimum of 88 keys,
and buttons for adjusting volume, tempo, and pitch. Then we can use
MIDI player pianos directly with MIDI control, without any other
control boxes like the IQ box or PianoCD box (PianoDisc), by simply
connecting our iPod/iPad/iPhone directly to the MIDI input.

Let's hope someone wants to develop such an app. Do we have capable
programmers on the MMD? I think there is a market for this!
