I have a 1917 Steinway upright Duo-Art that I assumed had been
refurbished, based on the condition of the tubing coming from the
tracker bar.  As I took a closer look at the entire mechanism, I am not
sure whether it has been rebuilt.

What is the best way to tell whether a player unit has been worked on?
Would a technician have left a decal or an inscription?

Does anyone know of a rebuilder in the Sacramento, Calif., area that
could evaluate the piano?
