Electrified vs. Foot-Pumped Player Piano
By Duaine Hechler

All this talk of this subject has brought back to mind something that
I want to do eventually with old or newish players. I have been in and
out (visiting) of nursing and retirement homes and I've seen tons of
people who would benefit from a player piano, mostly for the music and
some would benefit from the exercise of pumping.

The reason I say 'eventually' is because I'm booked up to 2015 for
player rebuilds -- assuming the customers are still willing in spite of
of the economy tanking, etc. I've also thought the same way about
antique pump organs.

If I'm not mistaken, the rebuild and associated costs can be taken off
on your taxes. Plus, at least for the player piano, you could make
a contract to be it's service tech for tuning, etc., and maybe even be
a reseller of rolls.

Food for thought,
