Piano Purchasing and Moving Scam
By Peter Neilson

They send you a check for more than the full amount of the purchase
plus shipping. They ask you to wire the excess payment and the
shipping fee to their "mover." The check they send you is bogus, but
is a good forgery, better than their broken English.

Never deal with someone who cannot write English or who is confused
about the item or wants some kind of weird shipping arrangement. It is
always a scam. I saw one situation where a lady was selling a horse,
but the (very insistent) emails from the purported buyer started
saying, "I am very anxious to buying your car." Sheesh, it's a horse!
