John Farmer wrote, "Wallace Venable asks about the MIDI specification for German automatic accordions and concertinas. Details of those made by Thueringer Musikantenschmiede can be found here: http://www.ziehorgel.de/service_en.php It is in German, but much of it is obvious." Thanks for the lead. Actually, the link took me to the English version of the page, perhaps because I tried contacting it from a US web address. There is a lot of material here which will take time to study. There are also a couple of MIDI utility programs on the site. I used leads on that site to search further with Google and I found a related site which is that of the Drehorgelorchester -- a German "Crank Organ Orchestra" -- which uses many instruments playing MIDI files but with linked wireless timing. The link below uses Google's translation service to render it in English. The instruments have to use the same electronic system but several manufacturers support the standard. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://drehorgelorchester.beepworld.de/instrumente.htm&ei=PPX0TpXyBenn0QGL6YWvDw&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=6&ved=0CFAQ7gEwBQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3DThueringer%2BMusikantenschmiede%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26hs%3DFFt%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26prmd%3Dimvns Wallace Venable [ Photos of the Mecklenburger Drehorgelorchester are posted at [ http://drehorgelorchester.beepworld.de/m-d-o.htm [ -- Robbie [ The following shorter URL may also work. -- Jody [ http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://drehorgelorchester.beepworld.de/instrumente.htm
