Dear MMD'rs,  I have relocated my Mikado Polyphon to a new (toy)
room but now it sounds totally different.  In this new setting, it
has no bass!  Notwithstanding the obvious solution of "just put it
back where it was," has anyone experienced this problem and how did
they overcome it?

The room has dry lined walls that are insulated with fibre wool (UK
building regulations) and it's also carpeted (the wife's regulations).
The floor is made up of concrete topped with foam board insulation
(also UK building reg's), 22 mm chipboard and finally the carpet.

Previously this the instrument was against a brick wall and stood
on a suspended, carpeted wooden floor.  Would it help to stand the
Polyphon on a board or stone slab or how about a panel behind the
instrument?  Constructive assistance welcome, as always.
