Hello Rebecca Lawrence,  Your posting with compliments about Kevin
McElhone's new book, "The Disc Musical Box", was very much appreciated,
especially by our Musical Box Society (MBSGB) committee who produced
and funded the book for our 50th Anniversary this year.  It is the
fifth MBSGB publication.

Kevin McElhone, a committee member, like authors of our other books,
volunteers his services freely.  In fact he was also author of our
40th Anniversary Organette book.  All our publications are a team
effort, brought to print by our small Book Publications Committee.

We hope that the new book will not only be appreciated but also that
we get more information about the subject of music produced by means of
programmed mechanisms, be it disc box instruments, organists, cylinder
musical boxes.  In fact, the rationale behind our publications is not
just to put these subjects 'on the record' (we donate copies to the
British Library system) but to invite new and as yet unrecorded
information.

Our next book, "The Music Makers of Switzerland", is finished but
awaiting sufficient funds.  It will compliment "The Disc Musical Box"
book, dealing with the Swiss cylinder musical box makers and agents in
a manner never yet attempted by other authors.
