Okay; second question: I'm about to rebuild the pumping bellows from
a Baldwin Manualo.  These have been rebuilt before, about 20 years
ago, but the hinges on the pumping bellows failed and the cloth tore.

I notice there are thick felt pads (2-1/4" x 1/2", 3/4" thick) glued
on the outside of the bellows cloth to keep them from closing fully.
I can't imagine these being original, especially since they are pieces
of felt glued together to get that thickness.  Any suggestions?

Also, should these bellow have stiffening cardboard on them?  I haven't
taken the cloth off yet, but it feels like there is some there.  Any
suggestions?  Especially I wonder if I should reinforce the pumping
bellows hinges, since that's where these failed.  The rest of the piano
appears to have been well rebuilt.
