Calibrating a Player Piano Tempo Indicator
By John Taber

Hello MMD, Player Piano Company sold a good grade of blank piano roll
paper back in the 1970s. I got a few spools of it to make new leaders.
I took about 16 feet of it and rolled it up on a small spool and laid
a tape measure along the left side to mark and number every foot, up to
13 feet. It makes a perfect tempo tester for 0 to 13 feet per minute
(Tempo 0 to Tempo 130).

I punched reroll holes at the end for all the reproducing pianos.
I marked every half foot, also.

Regards,
John Taber,
