Replacing Zephyr Skin Pouches With Leather

I am working on a Lester player action that had zephyr skin pouches.
The pouches were eaten so I replaced them with sealed leather pouches.
Should the size of the bleed be changed?  If so, to what size?  The
leather pouches seem tight.
