I have a jig that I use to make accurate copies of the narrow flaps of
the steam boat pump.  It has a test pneumatic to pre-test for quality
before installation, but... you should spend the small amount of time
to re-do it as it originally was -- honor the company that put it out.
You'll always know what you did, and so will the next guy.
