Herb Arntson, Organ Book Music Maker
By Robert Leber

Herb Arntson worked with Roy Norman making organ books from Wurlitzer
125 organ rolls for the Roy Norman organs. Jim DeRoyn found seven
or so of different Herb Arntson books that went through my hands back
then to Ed and Gene Broughtigam in San Jose, California, and Jim had me
finish leathering a bellows/reservoir unit someone had started but not
finished. I believe the books came from the same source.

Bert Sanches, in Castro Valley, Calif., got the fourth Roy Norman organ
I built. I converted it to a Style 125 roll frame and electric motor.
I haven't been able to trace him down or Herb Arntson. Anybody know of
any of these organs? Jim DeRoyn had listed a grapevine for sellers and
buyers all over the country.

Yours truly,
Robert Leber - still building and now going MIDI.
Fremont, Calif.
