1907 Wurlitzer Pianino Motor Speed
By Clay Hinrichs

Can someone please tell me the correct speed of the motor furnished
in the 1907 Wurlitzer Pianino? When I purchased it years ago it had
an 1800 rpm motor. My other nickelodeons, including another Pianino,
all have 1150 rpm motors.

I put a pancake 1150 rpm motor in it and it plays but it doesn't play
strong like my others. The hoses all are new, the bellows were done
before I purchased it, but it just seems to be lacking in volume.
When it's playing the reservoir holds about half way. I've adjusted
the relief valve, but that doesn't make it play any stronger.

I know it would be hard to make an assessment without seeing it but
any suggestions would be nice.

Thanks,
Clay Hinrichs
