Exactly two weeks ago I took delivery of my 1927 Marshall and Wendell
top loading Ampico.  This is believed to be the only one in Australia.

A couple of days after getting it, I fitted a second-hand Peter
Phillips solenoid system into it so I could have a vast library of
e-rolls.  Peter built this system in the 1970s and was quite thrilled
to see it getting a new lease of life in my new piano.  This system
was removed from a beautiful grand Marshall and Wendell which now has
a Bob Hunt system installed.

My piano normally runs from the old iMac sitting next to it (as seen
in the video), but I wanted to show Peter a film of it playing from
an iPad, and decided to upload the video to YouTube for anyone to see.
Peter's system runs from audio files, which is how I can play this
piano using iTunes.
