So the question was asked about nylon and regular pneumatic cloth
for the striker pneumatics.  I was told once that I could use hot
glue and nylon cloth.

I tried this and, well, the glue didn't stick at all.  It seemed
like it did and when I tested it, then it seemed great.  Suddenly,
when I tested the stack, I had failures right and left.  Some were
good, many failed.  I pulled them all off and tried them again,
and failed -- again!

Then I tried washing the cloth with rubbing alcohol.  After that
they all stuck _very_ well.

I also developed a way to test them to see how well they would work
and hold up.  I had always tested pneumatics by sucking to make sure
they are air-tight.  Well, to test this, I actually blew into the
pneumatics.  This caused a lot of failures before washing with rubbing
alcohol, none afterwards.

Also, ten years later, that same piano was still in exceptional
condition until it went through a fire.  Even after the fire, the
pneumatics were excellent.
