I am sorry to hear this.  I did know that Ron was ill.

While not directly a successor to MIDIator, I modeled some of my
own electronic player systems after Laurent Coray's designs.  With a
background in electronics firmware (the part of the design between
the hardware and the software) I was able to successfully repair some
Octet units that were thought beyond repair.

More recently I have designed, using different, more modern technology,
similar electronics for pipe organ relay and file playback systems, and
electronic valve control.  To keep things in line with the "Industry
Standard" I maintain an Octet compatibility mode.

Let this be in memory and honor of Laurent Coray and Ron Perry, who
contributed so much to the enjoyment of others.
