Junghans 30-note Comb
By Don Caine

[In yesterday's MMD Mark Buckland asked about a replacement for the
Junghans 30 note comb]

I was once told that the Thorens AD30 comb works as a replacement for
the Junghans 30-note comb, but I have personally not made that
substitution. Perhaps others will respond to your posting and can
confirm that for you.

If that is the case, I stock the Thorens AD30 comb for the more modern
Thorens AD30's with the tapered tips, as well as the flat-tipped comb
for the "ancient" Thorens movements.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance in this case,
or for any other Thorens AD30 restorations you may encounter in the
future. As the sole authorized North American parts and after-market
service agent for Reuge (who bought Thorens in 1986 and continued
making the AD30 mechanism until a year or two ago), I stock all the
parts for the AD30 as well as having a selection of over 180 different
disc titles for those machines.

Please let me know if you are a licensed business or an MBSI member,
as I do extend wholesale pricing to fellow tradesmen and MBSI members.
