Dear all,  For a project about "solitude", I asked my students to
design a simple singing bird.  As a first step, I would like them
to experiment with the small slide whistle that can be found in
a singing bird automaton.  Therefore, I tried to find manufacturers
of these whistles.

The only manufacturer I found was MMM GmbH in Rüdesheim, Germany.
However, their handmade whistles ("Kolbenpfeiffen") are too expensive
(USD 130 = 100 euro = 80 GBP).  So I really hope someone of you can
help me.

1. Do you know any other company that sells the small brass slide
whistles that are used in singing bird automata?  (Even if they are
also expensive, I would like to know.)

2. If not, would anyone of you be able to send me a sketch or (even
better) a technical drawing of a singing bird whistle?
