Plastic Key Bushings for Player Pianos
By David Dewey

[Re Clinton Gray's posting in the 121006 MMD]

Clinton, "As a temporary band-aid"? Um, why would you want to do a
temporary thing to your player rebuild? The labor to do key bushings
is much greater than the materials cost, plastic or felt. Granted, one
can remove the keys easily to rework them, but why not just do it right
the first time?

Yes, rebushing keys is time-consuming. I am facing that task on a few
of my own players, and I don't really look forward to it! The key
bushing cauls from Spurlock Specialty Tools really do help the process.
Their website is: http://www.spurlocktools.com/id19.htm I have no
relationship to them, just know them as really great folks.
