There were quite a few NOS/OS rolls cut with sacred (not religious)
music on them, which fit Ray Bauer's description [121105 MMDigest].
These rolls were cut specifically for mortuary use and contain some
wonderful examples of late 19th and early 20th century Christian hymns
that are all but forgotten today.  They are real treasures.
