I received this message on Facebook this morning regarding Vic Searle.
By no means do I claim to have known him well; still this was sent to
me.  I'll post it here in case others did not get this message:

    "Hello, My name is Tomohiko Gondo, from Tokyo.  I'm Victor C.
    Searle's music student for over twenty years.  I found Vic's FB. I
    think you are friend (or relative) of Victor.  I mail to you.

    "Victor passed away on Nov 22th at 11:35 am.  Although he had lots
    of chronic disease, it was not direct cause of death and it will
    take 2-3 months to have result of today's autopsy. The only thing
    that I've heard was it was sudden death because of cardiac
    disease.  Victor was doing well at the institution for the aged for
    the last several years.  When I met him last week, he was
    arranging music at the bed in the hospital.

    "He was going to direct a Christmas concert in glee club next
    month.  I would like to have a musical funeral for him on December
    2nd at the church.  If you know, could you please let me know when
    and where he became a Christian?  I also would like to know what
    denomination he was.  Also, if possible, please let me know what
    relationship you were to Vic.  Also a message to him will be great.
    Send it to me. I will deliver it at the funeral.
