Guide Pins Align Pneumatics to Action Stack
By Stephen Toyne

Bill Koenigsberg asks about the use of guide pins to align stack
pneumatics. It would seem more likely the sort of thing a restorer
would have done to assure correct alignment on re-assembly.

I would have thought the factory would have used alignment jigs, as
they did originally. Jigs would have been cheap to make, long lasting,
and much more cost effective than having to hammer in guide pins every
time.

Are there any other signs of the stack or piano being restored?
Sometimes, it's not always obvious, but if you look close enough, it's
usually possible to tell.
