It's with great regret that I have just learned from his neighbor
that Etienne Blyelle sadly passed away last week after suffering a
long illness.

His knowledge in the field of music boxes was very famous.  I enjoyed
a loyal friendship with Etienne and I remember listening to a rare
organocleide or overture fat cylinder music boxes all the day long in
his house in Geneva (Switzerland).

Etienne will be missed not only by his family and friends but by many
of us in the world of mechanical music.  Our thoughts are with his
family at this difficult time.
