I have shipped several bulky items from the Netherlands to Hawaii.
Mike, in your case I suggest to call UPS or FEDEX in Amsterdam, as
I have done a few times, or call your local carriers for assistance
and have the address ready from where the item needs to be picked up.

They will also package it for you (but not for free).  I know UPS
will, or at least they did so a few years back.
