Piano Roll Label Maker Program and Windows 8

I am using John Miller's Piano Roll Label Maker program with
Windows XP.  It is nearing time for a new computer, and I would
like to know whether or not John's program will run correctly
with Windows 8.  He gave instructions for Windows 7, but that
version is also being discontinued by Microsoft.  Can anyone
help me with this?
