Hello MMD and Bernt Damm.  Yes, Aeolian did put Half Duo-Arts into
grand pianos.  I have the acquaintance of a lady here in Hobart,
Tasmania, who has a Steck baby grand with a half Duo-Art mechanism
therein.  It was rebuilt about two years ago by my mate, Jim, who
rebuilds players for Restored Pianos in Hobart, the only surviving
store that sells rebuilt players in this town -- or anywhere in
Tasmania, probably.

This lady is not really interested in the Duo-Art, but wanted the
player rebuilt for nostalgic reasons, and happily plays ordinary
88-note rolls on it.  Bernt's message has reminded me that I should
give her a call, and maybe reclaim the half dozen D-A rolls I loaned
her when she first got her player back from Jim.
