Mechanical Music in Scotty's Castle, Calif.
By Tom DeLay

The 3/14 Welte Philharmonic player pipe organ was restored by
Schoenstein [San Francisco] in 1987. I know the console was subbed
to the late Richard Villemin, as well as the original Welte player.
I believe there is also a player for Wurlitzer Style R rolls that had
been added in the early 1930s. A Peterson electronic player system
was added when the organ was restored in 1987. The Deagan tower
chimes play from a usual player unit and a small keyboard downstairs.
A player grand piano is downstairs. I never heard of a harpsichord
there.
