Z-tronics Piano Encoder Circuit Board
By Pat DeWitt

Hi all, My interest was piqued when I saw John Haskey's question
about Z-tronics [140214 MMDigest]. I live in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, where
the Z-tronics devices were invented by a fellow Magnavox engineer
and pipe organ enthusiast, Bill Zabel -- thus the "Z" in Z-tronics.
I do not know if Bill is still living.

One of the first of these devices was installed in our beautiful,
restored Embassy Theater's Page pipe organ, also restored and impeccably
maintained by a local group of pipe organ enthusiasts. I do not know
if the Z-tronics device is still in use or has been replaced by a more
up-to-date system.

Anyway, if you, John, do not get any other responses to your request,
I can see if any of my local pipe organ friends have the information
you are looking for.
