Help Needed With KT Special
By Bob Oppenheim

I am working on a Seeburg KT Special, serial number 160958, and I have
some questions which I am certain one of you can answer.

First: Because of a jazz switch with two inputs and four outputs, I am
led to believe it is a later machine. Can anyone date it?

Second: The tubing for the "Piano, Soft, Medium, Loud" switch is very
confusing, at least to me. Does anyone have a tubing diagram for this
section of the machine?

Third: It appears that the action for the triangle and castanets is
designed to work in reverse. That is, a hole in the tracker bar causes
the pneumatic to open rather than collapse. I understand that on some
band organ drums this technique is used. But here? Why?

The MMD is a super resource, and I am hoping someone will be able to
help us.
